In a recent survey conducted by Kookbang Ilbo, the Ministry of National Defense Newspaper, aespa has been named the top “military favorite,” with 18.1% of soldiers selecting the group as the stars they would most like to see perform in concert for the troops.
The survey, which ran from April 4th to 17th and targeted 309 soldiers, revealed aespa’s immense popularity in the military, with their energetic music offering much-needed motivation and comfort to service members during challenging times.
Soldiers shared their personal experiences, with one Private, Kim, mentioning that thinking about aespa’s Karina gave him strength during tough moments, encouraging him to push through and even increasing his desire to protect his country.

Another soldier, Private Baek, shared that watching aespa’s music videos during off-duty hours provided healing and a sense of relaxation.
Following aespa in the rankings was fromis_9 with 16.2%, who earned praise for energizing soldiers during marches.
IU, IVE, and NMIXX also received significant votes, all recognized for providing encouragement and boosting morale with their music.
This recognition highlights aespa’s widespread influence and the power of music in fostering a sense of unity and resilience, even in the demanding environment of military life.
Their songs continue to inspire and uplift the spirits of soldiers, contributing to their ongoing popularity among the troops.
