Ko Woo Rim, the youngest member of the renowned crossover vocal group Forestella and husband to Olympic figure skater Kim Yuna, has officially completed his mandatory military service.
On May 19, 2025, he was discharged as a sergeant from the Army Band after serving faithfully for 18 months.
His discharge marks a significant moment for both him and Forestella, as he is now reunited with his bandmates.
Enlisting in November 2022, Ko Woo Rim served as an active-duty soldier and participated in a variety of official events during his service.

Notably, he performed in the KBS2 ‘Immortal Songs’ Armed Forces Day special as part of the Ministry of National Defense vocal ensemble.
He also sang the national anthem at the 105th March 1st Movement Anniversary Ceremony, showcasing his musical talents even while in service.
Before enlisting, Ko Woo Rim was active in Forestella’s promotions, including the 2023 Forestella Festival, where he also held his first solo concert, titled [#000000] BLACK.

His solo success highlighted his strong ticket power, both as part of the group and as an individual artist.
To celebrate his return, Ko Woo Rim will host a YouTube Live broadcast at 8 p.m. KST, accompanied by his Forestella bandmates.
With Ko Woo Rim now discharged, all four members of Forestella have completed their military service, officially making them a “military-completed group.”
This milestone allows them to focus fully on their music career, and Forestella is gearing up for more musical releases and live performances.
In addition to this, Forestella is also beginning to recruit new members for the third generation of their official fan club, “Soopbyeol,” through the Fromm fandom platform starting May 20.
As the group celebrates its 7th anniversary this year, fans can look forward to more exciting projects and performances from the group.
