Kim Ji Yeon, also known as Bona of WJSN (Cosmic Girls), has announced that she will take strong legal action against malicious online commenters who have been spreading false information and personal attacks about her.

The statement came from her agency, King Kong by Starship, on May 12, 2025.

According to the agency, they had discovered that harmful content, including slander and attacks targeting Kim Ji Yeon, was being spread across social media and online communities.

The agency made it clear that these actions are illegal and a violation of her reputation and personal rights.

They vowed to take firm legal action without any leniency or settlements, stressing their commitment to protecting her from further harm.

Kim Ji Yeon initially gained recognition as Bona, a member of the popular K-pop group WJSN, where she made an impact through her visual appeal and vocal talent.

After transitioning into acting, she adopted her real name, Kim Ji Yeon, and earned praise for her roles in well-received dramas such as Girls’ Generation 1979, Record of Youth, Homemade Love Story, and Twenty-Five Twenty-One.

Currently, she is starring in the SBS drama The Haunted Palace as the shaman Yeori, in a fantasy romance that has been gaining popularity.

Despite her successful career, she has been facing online harassment, leading to the agency’s decision to take action to safeguard her rights and public image.
