Actress and singer Hyeri once again used her birthday as an opportunity to give back, continuing a tradition of philanthropy that has become closely associated with her name.

On June 10 KST, her agency Sublime announced that Hyeri had donated ₩50 million KRW, approximately $37,000 USD, to the Children’s Hospital at Asan Medical Center in Seoul.

The generous gift was made in celebration of her birthday and is intended to support underprivileged children and medically vulnerable groups in need of care and financial assistance.

This isn’t the first time Hyeri has used her platform and resources for meaningful causes.

In June 2023, she made a similar donation to the same hospital, marking the beginning of a new personal tradition: celebrating each birthday by giving to those in need.

Earlier this year, in March 2024, she also took part in disaster relief efforts for the residents affected by devastating wildfires in Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang provinces—proving her compassion goes beyond symbolic gestures and consistently addresses pressing social issues.

Hyeri’s dedication to social good extends even further. Since 2016, she has regularly donated to organizations such as The Community Chest of Korea (Love Fruit), supported reconstruction efforts following the Daegu Seomun Market fire, contributed to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, backed UNICEF Korea, and participated in COVID-19 relief and international disaster aid.

Her quiet but impactful commitment to philanthropy has earned her the admiration of fans and peers alike.

Reflecting on her birthday donation, Hyeri shared a simple but powerful message:

“I hope to be of some help to those suffering from financial hardship or unexpected disasters. I want to pass on the love I’ve received, in hopes that it brings happiness to others.”

These words embody a spirit of gratitude and a desire to use her influence for good—qualities that have come to define her not just as an entertainer, but as a public figure with a deeply rooted sense of social responsibility.

Meanwhile, Hyeri continues to connect with fans around the world. She recently concluded her first solo fan meeting in Seoul on June 7, where she shared personal stories, performances, and heartfelt moments with attendees.

This fan meeting was just the beginning of her 10-city Asia tour, giving international fans the opportunity to experience her warmth and charisma in person.

As Hyeri balances a thriving entertainment career with consistent acts of kindness, she continues to be a source of inspiration.

Her birthday donation is more than a charitable act—it’s a reminder that small, thoughtful gestures can have a lasting impact, especially when done with sincerity and purpose.

Through actions like these, Hyeri shows that compassion can be a lifelong commitment, celebrated not just once a year, but woven into the very fabric of who she is.
