Daesung Teases Fans With Glimpses Of A Big Bang Reunion For Their 19th Anniversary

Fans of legendary K-pop group Big Bang have reason to celebrate as Daesung dropped hints about a full group reunion. On August 15, his YouTube channel ZIP DAESUNG released a playful and personal new video titled An AI is Now in Control of ZIP DAESUNG. The content blended humour, casual conversation, and a nostalgic connection to his fellow band members.

The timing of the upload was significant, coinciding with Big Bang’s 19th anniversary. Daesung’s lighthearted approach throughout the video hinted at something special in store for the group’s milestone year.

Using AI For English Practice And Laughs

During the video, Daesung revealed that he had recently been using ChatGPT, the artificial intelligence chatbot. When asked if he had installed the app, he joked, “I live in Seoul,” making viewers laugh with his unexpected response. He explained that his main use for the tool is to study English by typing in lessons and practising them repeatedly.

However, when the conversation shifted to whether he would use AI for personal advice, Daesung humorously brushed it off. “Why would I do that? What would it know? All answers are inside me. It is just a program that shuts down when you extract code,” he said, showing his signature wit and confidence.

Talking About YouTube Views And AI Suggestions

Daesung also opened up about a challenge he has been facing, declining view counts on his YouTube videos. “Why are the numbers not going up lately?” he asked. The AI responded in a surprisingly blunt way, suggesting that his recent content might feel less genuine than before, appear to be chasing quick money, or lack a clear theme.

Instead of taking offence, Daesung embraced the suggestions, laughing at the honesty. The AI recommended trying more relaxed and personal formats, such as solo skits, casual hangouts with close friends, or a simple café vlog.

A Look Into Daesung’s Contacts And Personal Life

In a candid moment, Daesung opened his phone to show his recent contacts list. Most of his messages were from his fellow Big Bang members, which he jokingly called the “military Big Bang group.” He added that even his “Five Eagles” group chat barely reaches out anymore. The last personal contact he had received, he admitted, was almost a month ago, with most notifications coming from brands and promotions.

This glimpse into his everyday life added a relatable and human touch to the video, making fans feel closer to him.

The 19th Anniversary Surprise

The most exciting moment came at the end of the video, when Daesung teased a special Big Bang anniversary celebration. In the final scenes, he appeared alongside fellow members G Dragon and Taeyang. Together, the three sang “Happy 19th Anniversary Big Bang” with warm smiles, marking the group’s nearly two decades of influence in the music industry.

Although T.O.P. was not shown in the teaser, Daesung’s wording hinted at the possibility of the full lineup reuniting for a celebratory event. Fans immediately flooded comment sections with excitement, expressing hope for new music or a special stage soon.

A Legacy That Continues To Inspire

Big Bang, known for hits such as Fantastic Baby and Haru Haru, has been a defining force in K-pop since their debut in 2006. Their music, fashion influence, and stage presence have left a lasting impact not only in Korea but around the world.

As the group enters their nineteenth year together, fans remain loyal and eager for any chance to see the members together again. Whether through music, variety content, or personal projects, Big Bang continues to shape the K-pop and connect with their audience in meaningful ways.
