On November 28 of the previous year, the members of NewJeans held an emergency press conference where they publicly declared their intention to leave ADOR. During the press event, the members stated that concerns they had previously raised with the company had not been adequately addressed, prompting them to seek independence from the agency.

ADOR, however, consistently maintained that the group’s exclusive contracts remained legally valid. In response to the members’ announcement, the agency filed a lawsuit in December requesting the court to confirm the enforceability of those contracts.

On October 30, the Seoul Central District Court ruled that the group’s exclusive contracts with the agency remained legally valid. The decision reaffirmed ADOR’s position that NewJeans’ activities should continue under the company’s management.

Against this backdrop, Haerin and Hyein’s decision to resume activities with ADOR marks a new stage in the situation. Their return suggests a willingness to comply with the court’s ruling and move forward professionally within the framework of their existing contracts.
