EXO’s Lay Unable To Attend Scheduled Fan Meetings

EXO member Lay will not be taking part in the group’s scheduled fan meetings taking place today.

On December 14, an announcement was made informing fans that Lay would be unable to attend the “EXO’verse” fan meetings planned for later that day at INSPIRE Arena in Incheon. The notice was released to address the unexpected change in the lineup for the event and to update fans who had been anticipating his appearance.

The statement began by acknowledging EXO-L, the group’s official fandom, who had been eagerly waiting for the fan meetings. It explained that Lay would unfortunately not be able to participate due to unavoidable circumstances.

The announcement reads:

We are making an announcement for the EXO-L who have been waiting for the “EXO’verse” fan meeting.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, member Lay will inevitably be unable to participate in the fan meeting.

To the fans who have waited for a long time and shown their support, we ask for your understanding regarding this sudden change in the participating members.

The organizers expressed their regret over the unexpected development, recognizing that many fans had been looking forward to seeing Lay perform alongside the rest of the group during the special fan meeting events.

In order to accommodate fans who may have purchased tickets specifically to see Lay, the organizers also confirmed that refunds would be available. Fans who choose to cancel their tickets due to the change in the participating lineup will be able to receive a full refund.

Despite Lay’s absence, the fan meetings will proceed as planned with the participation of the remaining EXO members. The statement clarified that Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun will still attend the events and perform according to the original schedule.

After addressing the refund policy and lineup update, the announcement added, “Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun will be participating as scheduled.”

The “EXO’verse” fan meetings are set to take place in two separate sessions at Incheon’s INSPIRE Arena on December 14. The first event will begin at 2 p.m. KST, followed by a second session scheduled for 7 p.m. KST later that evening.

These fan meetings were organized as special opportunities for EXO to interact with fans, share performances, and celebrate their ongoing connection with the EXO-L community.

Although Lay will not be present at the event, the remaining members are expected to proceed with the scheduled program and meet fans who have gathered at the venue. Meanwhile, fans are expressing understanding regarding the sudden update while continuing to support both Lay and the group as a whole.
