MONSTA X’s Kihyun Misses Jingle Ball New York Due To Illness

MONSTA X member Kihyun was unable to take part in the group’s performance at the Jingle Ball concert in New York due to health concerns.

On December 12 local time, STARSHIP Entertainment released an official statement announcing that Kihyun would not be appearing at the New York stop of the 2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour. According to the agency, the singer sought medical attention after his condition worsened and was subsequently diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis.

The sudden illness prevented Kihyun from joining his fellow MONSTA X members on stage for the highly anticipated event. Jingle Ball is one of the most prominent year-end concert tours organized by iHeartRadio, featuring performances from numerous popular artists across several major cities in the United States.

In its announcement, STARSHIP Entertainment explained that Kihyun’s decision to skip the performance was made following medical advice. Doctors reportedly recommended that he prioritize rest and stability in order to recover properly, making it difficult for him to participate in the concert scheduled for that evening.

The agency also expressed regret to fans who had been looking forward to seeing the group perform together at the event. While the remaining members proceeded with their scheduled activities, the company emphasized that the decision was made with Kihyun’s health as the top priority.

Following the New York performance on December 12, MONSTA X still has several additional appearances scheduled as part of the 2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour.

The group is currently expected to perform in Philadelphia on December 15, Washington, DC on December 16, and Miami on December 20, though further updates regarding Kihyun’s participation in those concerts have not yet been confirmed.

After taking into consideration both the state of Kihyun’s health and the doctor’s recommendation, we have determined that it is currently difficult for Kihyun to proceed with the show.
