After more than a decade of loyal service, Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji has officially parted ways with IST Entertainment, the agency that guided her career from rookie idol to acclaimed singer and actress.
On April 2, IST confirmed the conclusion of her exclusive contract, marking the end of a remarkable 14-year journey.
In an official statement, IST expressed gratitude for Eun Ji’s dedication since her 2011 debut with Apink, highlighting her growth not only as a K-pop idol but also as a solo vocalist and versatile actress.
The agency emphasized that their parting was amicable and rooted in mutual respect and support for each other’s future endeavors.
Shortly after the announcement, Eun Ji took to Apink’s Weverse to speak directly to her fans, affectionately known as Pandas.
“As of today, I’ve graduated from IST Entertainment and decided to begin a new journey with BILLIONS,” she wrote.
She also reassured fans that this change wouldn’t affect her group activities, stating firmly:
“I will continue my activities as a member of Apink, as well as my work as a singer and actress, just as I have until now.”
BILLIONS, her new agency, later confirmed the signing and expressed enthusiasm about working with such a multi-talented entertainer.
Jeong Eun Ji joins a star-studded roster at BILLIONS that includes her “Pump Up the Healthy Love” co-star Lee Jun Young, as well as prominent actors Son Hyun Joo, Kim Ha Neul, and Heo Sung Tae.
Interestingly, Jeong Eun Ji was the only Apink member to remain with IST after the group’s collective contract expired in 2023.
Her fellow members—Chorong, Bomi, Namjoo, and Hayoung—all moved on to Choi Creative Lab, making Eun Ji’s eventual departure feel like the closing of a significant chapter.
