According to the Military Manpower Administration, applications for the Army band were accepted during March and April, with interviews held on May 9. If successful, Cha Eun Woo is expected to begin his military service in July 2025.

The military band is a preferred path for many musically inclined entertainers. It allows them to fulfill their national duties while utilizing their talents in music and performance, typically participating in public events and morale-boosting activities.

Given Cha Eun Woo’s experience as a vocalist and public figure, his potential placement in the military band has been met with support and anticipation from fans.

Known for his visual appeal and acting skills in popular dramas like “True Beauty” and “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” Cha Eun Woo has maintained a strong presence in both music and television.

His enlistment—while inevitable due to South Korea’s conscription laws—marks a pause in his soaring career, but many fans are expressing admiration for his responsible and respectful approach to service.

As fans await the outcome of his application later this month, many are already preparing to send support and encouragement for this next chapter in his life.

Should he be accepted, he’ll be one of several K-pop idols fulfilling their military duties through the military band—a path that combines service with artistic contribution.
