EXO’s Kai has been keeping busy and sharing insights into his current activities and upcoming plans.

In a recent interview for Elle Korea, following a photo shoot in collaboration with Versace’s fragrance Eros Energy, Kai opened up about his first solo concert tour, KAION, and his recent work.

After completing promotions for his 4th mini album Wait On Me, Kai shared how his energy has been fully recharged since his military discharge.

He expressed excitement about reconnecting with fans after two years, saying,

“I feel mentally incredibly happy and fulfilled because I’m confident that I’m doing the best I can right now.”

Kai’s upcoming KAION concert tour, which kicks off on May 17 in Seoul, marks an important milestone as it will be his first solo concert since the pandemic.

Reflecting on his journey, he emphasized the importance of connecting with fans and performing live. He mentioned,

“I really want to show them a cool performance.”

For Kai, this tour is about more than just the music; it’s about creating a deeper connection with his audience after his solo activities had been largely impacted by the global health crisis.

In addition to his music, Kai has also ventured into hosting, taking on the role of MC for Changing Majors.

He shared that his time as a social service worker had changed his perspective, making him more relatable and approachable.

For Kai, his definition of being good at his job has evolved.

“In the past, I thought it was all about the end result. Now, I think it’s about staying in your field for a long time—enduring. Honestly, the fact that you’ve been doing it for a long time is proof that you’re good at it,” he said.

Fans can look forward to more of Kai in the June issue of Elle Korea, and for those who haven’t seen him yet, his drama Miracle That We Met is also available to stream on Viki.
