In a recent interview with ELLE Korea, ATEEZ’s San opened up about his experiences during the group’s 2025 Europe tour, “TOWARDS THE LIGHT : WILL TO POWER”.

Describing the tour as unforgettable, San shared how every stage performance felt like a moment of growth, emphasizing the deep connection he feels with his members and their fans.

San also talked about ATEEZ’s promotions for their 11th mini album “GOLDEN HOUR : PART.2”, highlighting the track “Ice On My Teeth” as a turning point for him.

He explained that the performance allowed him to understand himself better—especially his naturally calm, rational side—which aligned perfectly with the song’s concept and made him feel at ease on stage.

Now eight years into his career, San shared that staying true to his beginnings keeps him grounded.

“Loving what I do and appreciating the people around me is what matters most,” he said, adding that he’s determined to keep his original passion alive no matter how far he goes.

Reflecting on his heartfelt speech at the ELLE Style Awards, where he accepted the K-pop Icon Award, San revealed he chose sincerity over being ‘cool.’ He wanted his words to truly express gratitude, staying authentic to who he is.

When asked about his aspirations, San shared the meaning behind his name, given by his father.

“It means I could be a warm hill to some or a high, unreachable mountain to others,” he explained. “I want to be someone who embraces everything—a mountain people can rest on when they need comfort.”
