On August 21, 2026, rising K-pop boy group BOYNEXTDOOR officially launched the Japanese leg of their global concert circuit, titled the “BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.2’ IN JAPAN.”
Organized by their management agency KOZ Entertainment, the tour kicked off with a three-day engagement running from August 21 through August 23 at the K-Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa.
The highly anticipated concerts mark the group’s first Japan performances as part of their broader world tour, generating immense excitement among local fans as several dates, including stops in Osaka and Chiba, sold out well in advance.
Following their opening shows in Kanagawa, the six-member group- consisting of Sungho, Riwoo, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak- will travel across six key regions in Japan, including stops in Saga, Osaka, Miyagi, Nagano, and Chiba to connect with their growing international fanbase.
Coinciding with the start of their tour, BOYNEXTDOOR released their second Japanese digital single, “Boom Boom Boom,” on August 18, 2026.
The track represents their first new Japanese music release in approximately a year, following previous successful promotions in the region.
Prior to the official audio drop, the group generated significant momentum by showcasing a premiere live performance of the song on Japan’s flagship TBS music program “CDTV Live! Live!” on August 17.
The new track quickly gained traction across major domestic and international music charts upon release, reaching No. 6 on both Japan Line Music’s “Real-Time Song Top 100” and Japan iTunes’ “Top Songs” chart.
Direct Statements from KOZ Entertainment and BOYNEXTDOOR Regarding the Tour
To mark the launch of the tour and elaborate on the group’s goals for their Japanese concert series, KOZ Entertainment and the members of BOYNEXTDOOR shared official statements regarding their return to the live stage.

In an official administrative announcement released on August 21, KOZ Entertainment stated:
“BOYNEXTDOOR will open the gates to the ‘BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.2′ IN JAPAN’ at K-Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa from today until the 23rd.”
Expressing their excitement and commitment to delivering memorable performances for their fans, the members of BOYNEXTDOOR offered their own direct reaction to launching the concert series, sharing:
“We are happy to show a more mature side. We will work hard to make this tour a happy one.”
These statements highlight the group’s dedication to showcasing their growth as live performers while establishing a meaningful, joy-filled experience for their audience throughout the multi-city run.
Artistic Concept of “Boom Boom Boom” and Future Activity Plans
“Boom Boom Boom” is an upbeat, high-energy track driven by an unconventional rhythmic structure, cascading melodies, and bright piano riffs that accentuate the distinct vocal timbres of each member.
Lyrically, the song conveys a message of youthful empowerment and self-expression, encouraging listeners to fearlessly write their own life stories in a world where every individual’s journey unfolds like a film.
Accompanying the digital release, the official music video incorporates a creative narrative centered around a time-loop premise, visually depicting the members’ energetic struggle to break free from repetitive cycles and embrace their unique identities.
The release of “Boom Boom Boom” and the commencement of the “KNOCK ON Vol.2” Japan tour come during a busy period of global activity for BOYNEXTDOOR.
Following the conclusion of their Japanese concert dates in Kanagawa, Saga, Osaka, Miyagi, Nagano, and Chiba, the group is set to continue their momentum into the autumn season.
KOZ Entertainment previously announced that BOYNEXTDOOR is scheduled to release a repackaged edition of their first full-length album, “Home,” in September 2026.
By pairing major live tour engagements with continuous digital releases, BOYNEXTDOOR continues to solidify their position as a leading force among the new generation of global K-pop acts.
