Former Nine Muses member Hyuna has officially become a mother of two! On February 24, the singer shared heartwarming news on Instagram, reflecting on her pregnancy journey and the challenges she faced.
A Journey Filled with Emotions
Sharing multiple photos and videos, Hyuna captioned her post, “2023.2.23~2025.2.23 A record filled with TMI,” offering fans a look at her pregnancy journey. In one of the images, she confidently showed off her baby bump in a bikini, celebrating the beauty of motherhood.
“I had severe morning sickness, so I had to take medicine. One of the symptoms was that I would fall asleep while raising my first child, so I had to get help from the media,” she shared, reflecting on the difficulties she faced while balancing pregnancy and childcare.
Despite the struggles, she also expressed gratitude for the little joys. “The happiest moment during my pregnancy was falling asleep while the baby was moving in my stomach, and I had both my cats under my arms,” she revealed.
Overcoming Hardships
Hyuna also opened up about a deeply personal experience—having a miscarriage before her first child. “Before having my first child, I had a miscarriage once, so I barely moved with my first child. However, with my second, I had to watch my first child while they jumped around, so my stomach was bloated. I told my second child, ‘I’m sorry, but I will hold on somehow.’”
Despite the difficulties, she remained determined to stay active, sharing, “I worked out during my pregnancy but still gained over 70 kg again.”
An Unexpected Reaction
Another heartfelt moment came when she found out the gender of her second child. “I cried when I found out my second child was a girl and called my friend and cried over the phone. I wonder why on earth did I do that?” she humorously admitted, showing her raw and candid emotions.
A New Chapter
Hyuna first debuted with Nine Muses in 2010 before leaving the entertainment industry. In 2017, she married a businessman eight years her senior. The couple now has a beautiful son and daughter, marking a new chapter in their lives.
