On Thursday, January 25, 2024, ABYSS Company, the agency representing GOT7’s BamBam, issued a statement revealing the cancellation of the idol’s initial U.S. solo tour from February 10 to 24, 2024, citing the deteriorating condition of his ankle injury.

In a recent radio show appearance, GOT7’s Youngjae disclosed that BamBam sustained an ankle injury during solo concert rehearsals. Despite exhibiting professionalism by continuing the tour, ABYSS Company expressed regret in revealing that the injury had worsened to fans.

ABYSS Company disclosed that BamBam was gearing up to unveil a new track in his upcoming concert. Unfortunately, during rehearsals, his ankle injury deteriorated. The agency emphasized, “We will prioritize the artist’s health and wellness, ensuring a smooth return to reconnect with the fans through the remaining tour schedule.”

Putting the artist’s health first, the agency announced the cancellation of BamBam’s U.S. tour dates. The agency also assured fans that purchased tickets would be fully refunded.

Youngjae and Yugyeom made a special appearance in BamBam’s solo tour in Seoul on September 16, 2023. The duo joined the idol onstage, delivering a performance of the group’s track “NANANA.” Later, during an appearance on the radio show “Best Friends” hosted by MBC FM4U, Youngjae shared his experience of participating in his fellow member’s concerts.

In his discussion on “Best Friends,” Youngjae shared insights into BamBam’s dedication, revealing how the idol sustained an ankle injury during their rehearsal but persevered through the performance.

Despite fans praising his professionalism, concerns arose over his health. Although BamBam managed several concerts post-injury, a recent announcement revealed the worsening condition, leading him to sit out upcoming performances.
