MONSTA X’s I.M has officially become a free agent following the conclusion of his exclusive contract with Sony Music Korea.

On September 15, Sony Music Korea announced the mutual decision to part ways after three years together.

Though I.M left Starship Entertainment in August 2022 to focus on solo activities, he continued promoting with MONSTA X, including their recent 10th anniversary concerts in Korea and Japan.

Despite recovering from a back injury since July, he participated in promotions for MONSTA X’s September 1 mini-album THE X within his physical limits.

Born in 1996, I.M is the youngest member of MONSTA X and the only one yet to fulfill his mandatory military service.

Sony Music Korea expressed deep gratitude for I.M’s music and sincerity and promised ongoing support as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.
