Big Bang’s Taeyang and BTS’s Jimin have hit a new milestone on Spotify with their collaboration “VIBE”!
On February 16 KST, Taeyang’s “VIBE (featuring Jimin)” surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify. This achievement marks Taeyang’s inaugural song and Jimin’s fifth solo track to reach this impressive milestone on the platform.
Released on January 13, 2023, as the pre-release single from Taeyang’s second mini-album, ‘Down to Earth,’ the song achieved this milestone exactly 1 year and 1 month later.
“VIBE” secured the top spot on the January 19, 2023, episode of M Countdown. Additionally, it received nominations for Best Music (Spring) at the Fact Music Awards and for Best Collaboration, Best Dance Performance – Male Solo, and Song of the Year at the 2023 MAMA Awards, though it did not clinch victory in these categories.
Despite nominations, it did not win any awards at the 2023 MAMA Awards. In December, the song earned a nomination in the Digital Song Division category at the upcoming Golden Disc Awards.
