Former idol and current television personality Yulhee pushed herself to the brink during a physically demanding marathon race on the latest episode of MBN’s variety show Run For Your Life.

On the May 24 broadcast, 16 cast members participated in the 10km “Sunset Marathon” as part of a survival-style competition to surpass their personal records.

Running alongside team leader and veteran runner Sean, Yulhee began to visibly struggle midway through the race.

Commentator Bae Sung Jae noted her deteriorating posture and growing unsteadiness, while Sean continued to offer her words of encouragement, reminding her to focus on her breathing and invoking her children as motivation:

“The kids will be so proud of their mom.”

As the race intensified, Yulhee was brought to tears, later sharing in an emotional post-race interview that thoughts of her children overwhelmed her.

“I kept seeing my kids’ faces in front of me,” she said, describing how her emotions, breathing, and physical control all began to spiral out of balance.

Despite hitting a clear physical limit, Yulhee persevered and crossed the finish line—only to collapse immediately after.

Medical staff rushed to her aid, and though visibly exhausted, she insisted she was okay and bravely tried to stand on her own.

Her heartfelt determination resonated with viewers, especially after it was revealed that her son had cheered her on the same day as his elementary school entrance ceremony, adding an even more touching layer to her motivation and resolve.
