Actor Lee Yi Kyung’s agency has released a third official statement addressing the ongoing controversy surrounding allegations about the actor’s private life.
The issue first surfaced earlier in October when an individual identified as “A” made a series of posts on their personal social media accounts claiming they would “expose the real Lee Yi Kyung.”
The posts included what appeared to be screenshots of private chat conversations as well as photos allegedly exchanged by the actor. The materials reportedly contained inappropriate content, quickly drawing public attention and sparking widespread controversy online.

According to the individual, the situation had begun as a joke, and they asserted that the images and messages shared in the posts had been fabricated using artificial intelligence (AI). Following this explanation, the person removed all of the previously uploaded posts from their social media accounts.
However, the situation took another turn on November 19 when the same individual reversed their earlier claim. In a new statement, “A” asserted that their previous explanation was inaccurate and insisted that the materials they had posted were authentic.
The individual wrote, “What I alleged was not content fabricated with artificial intelligence (AI), and all of the evidence is true,” reigniting discussion around the controversy.
Later that same day, Lee Yi Kyung’s agency Sangyoung ENT released another statement addressing the developments and clarifying the legal steps the company has already taken in response to the situation.

As previously announced, we have taken legal action against the author of posts about actor Lee Yi Kyung on charges of blackmail (intimidation) and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
On November 3, upon becoming aware of the matter, we promptly filed a complaint and completed the complainant’s statement with investigators. However, we understand that it will take some time to identify the accused, proceed with the authorities’ investigation, and bring the case to a close.
We are checking the progress through our legal counsel and are cooperating to the fullest to ensure a swift outcome.
Due to the malicious actions of the original poster and distributors, the damage to our actor and our company has been severe. As we understand that such conduct is punishable regardless of whether it occurs domestically or overseas, we will continue to respond strongly without leniency, even if it takes time.
