Actor Lee Jung Ha is preparing to begin his mandatory military service next year.
On December 3, his agency Namoo Actors released an official statement confirming that the actor will soon enlist in the military. According to the announcement, Lee Jung Ha applied to serve in the Marine Corps and was recently informed that he had been accepted.
The agency shared that Lee Jung Ha will officially enter the Marine Corps Education and Training Group on January 26, 2026. From that point, he will begin his military training and proceed to fulfill his required military duty as part of South Korea’s mandatory service system.
Namoo Actors also explained that there will not be any separate public event held on the day of his enlistment. Because enlistment days are typically attended by many soldiers and their families, the agency asked fans for their understanding regarding the decision to keep the occasion private.
The company expressed gratitude for the continued support fans have shown toward the actor and asked for warm encouragement as he prepares to begin this new phase of his life. They also noted their hope that he will complete his service safely and return after growing further both personally and professionally.
