BAE173 member Hangyul will part ways with his longtime agency, PocketDol Studio, as his exclusive contract officially ends on February 28. The announcement was made on February 11, marking the conclusion of a partnership that spanned approximately 10 years, beginning from his trainee days.

In its official statement, PocketDol Studio expressed gratitude for the years spent working alongside Hangyul, describing their time together as a meaningful journey of mutual growth. The agency thanked him for his dedication and passion, while pledging continued support for his future endeavors despite the end of their contractual relationship.

CEO Kim Kwang Soo also shared a heartfelt message, reflecting on his long-standing bond with Hangyul. He described the artist as someone who remained loyal through both successful and challenging periods for the company. Calling him a sincere and dependable individual, Kim expressed deep appreciation for Hangyul’s commitment and wished him success as he embarks on a new chapter.

Hangyul first debuted in 2017 with the group IM and later gained public recognition through KBS2’s “The Unit.” He further rose to prominence after being selected as a final member on Mnet’s “Produce X 101,” promoting with project group X1. Following X1’s disbandment, he participated in unit activities as H&D alongside Nam Dohyon before officially debuting as a member of BAE173 in November 2020.

With his contract coming to a close, Hangyul now prepares to pursue new opportunities, closing a significant chapter in his career while leaving behind a decade of growth with PocketDol Studio.
