Since its 2022 debut, Extraordinary Attorney Woo became a fan-favorite K-Drama, following a brilliant attorney on the autism spectrum as she navigates legal cases, personal challenges, and romance. The series finale achieved a 17.5 percent viewership rating, the highest for an ENA K-Drama, and immediately sparked talks of a sequel.
In 2022, Lee Sang Baek, CEO of the production company Acetory, confirmed plans for a second season, aiming for a 2024 broadcast. By 2023, ENA reportedly began preparations, including securing Season 1’s writer, Moon Ji Won. However, production stalled during the developmental stage due to multiple issues, delaying the highly anticipated continuation.

Now, fans have reason for optimism. As of January 29, Korean media reports that pre-production for Season 2 is officially underway, with Moon actively writing the script. An industry insider confirmed that the project is progressing normally, suggesting that previous production hurdles have been resolved.
While a release date has not yet been announced, the revival of pre-production indicates that Extraordinary Attorney Woo is on track to return. In the meantime, viewers can explore other recent K-Drama releases while waiting for the sequel.
