Two individuals, identified as Park and Kim, have been fined 3 million won each by Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Eastern District Court for violating the Information and Communication Network Act and Information Protection. The court found that the men deceived members of SM Entertainment’s EXO and NCT by posing as delivery drivers to gain access to their personal information.

Reports indicate that Park and Kim, who are streamers on a voice chat media platform, contacted the idols in April of the previous year. They used deceptive messages like, “The package is here, but the house number isn’t written on it,” and “The package just states the item name. Did you order this?” They operated using cell phones at Kim’s residence to execute their scheme.

The victims include three members of NCT and one member of EXO, highlighting the severity of the privacy breach targeted at high-profile celebrities.
