G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, has significantly escalated its legal response against online malicious commenters, taking strict measures to protect the artist’s reputation.
On August 4, 2026, the agency confirmed that it has filed lawsuits against more than 100 individuals accused of defamation, harassment, and spreading false information online.
“Galaxy Corporation has stepped up its response to malicious online comments by filing lawsuits against more than 100 individuals accused of defaming the artist.”
The legal proceedings follow a combination of fan-submitted reports and the agency’s internal monitoring efforts across domestic and international online platforms.
Legal Outcomes and Fines Issued
According to Galaxy Corporation, law enforcement agencies and judicial courts have already processed multiple cases involving identified offenders.
Several cases have resulted in criminal trials or prosecutor referrals, leading to substantial financial penalties for those found guilty.
“Some offenders have been identified and referred to prosecutors or brought to criminal trial, and several have received summary fines ranging from 2 million to 7 million won, with prosecutors requesting similar penalties in other cases.”
The agency emphasized that online anonymity will not shield individuals from being tracked down and prosecuted under Korean law.
Strict Policy Against Re-Sharing and Deleted Posts
Galaxy Corporation warned that its legal monitoring extends beyond original posters to include individuals who continuously share or amplify harmful content.
The agency is actively collecting evidence across social media, online communities, portal sites, and video-sharing platforms.
“Even when harmful posts are deleted or accounts are made private or changed, Galaxy Corporation said it continues legal procedures based on the evidence it has secured, reaffirming that it will respond without leniency.”
The company reiterated its zero-tolerance policy, confirming that it will proceed with full legal consequences without settlements or leniency to ensure a safe digital environment for G-Dragon.
