On July 30, 2026, JYP Entertainment released an official statement informing fans about ITZY member Yuna’s health condition and her subsequent absence from scheduled promotional activities.
According to the agency, Yuna recently sought medical attention after experiencing high fever symptoms.
Following comprehensive internal medicine examinations, medical specialists diagnosed her with inflammation and concluded that immediate hospitalization and dedicated treatment were necessary for her full recovery.
As a result of her medical diagnosis, Yuna will sit out ITZY’s offline fan sign events scheduled for August 1 and August 2, 2026, in Shenzhen, China.
These promotional events are held in support of the group’s mini album release.
JYP Entertainment expressed regret for the sudden announcement while reassuring MIDZYs (ITZY’s official fandom) that the idol’s health and recovery remain their absolute top priority during this period.
In their official notice, JYP Entertainment outlined the situation regarding her health status and event participation:
“Hello, this is JYPE.
We would like to inform you about ITZY Yuna’s health condition and her absence from the SHENZHEN fan sign event.
Yuna recently visited the hospital due to high fever, and got diagnosed inflammation through internal medicine examination.
She received a specialist’s opinion stating that hospitalization is necessary.
Therefore, we would like to inform you that Yuna will be absent in the event below.
- 2026.08.01 (SAT) ITZY MINI ALBUM SHENZHEN EVENT
- 2026.08.02 (SUN) ITZY MINI ALBUM SHENZHEN EVENT

The attendance of the four members- Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, and Chaeryeong- at the SHENZHEN event will proceed as scheduled on August 1–2 (Sat–Sun), with no changes.
Any changes due to Yuna’s absence will be individually notified to the winners through MakeStar.
We sincerely apologize for causing concern to the fans who have been waiting for this event.
We will do our utmost to prioritize the artist’s health and provide adequate treatment and recovery.

Event Adjustments and ITZY’s Upcoming Group Schedule
Following the agency’s announcement, event organizer MakeStar confirmed that the fan sign engagements in Shenzhen will proceed as scheduled on August 1 and 2 with the remaining four members: Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, and Chaeryeong.
The company reassured ticket winners that further specific ticketing updates or adjustments resulting from Yuna’s temporary absence would be communicated individually through direct notifications.
