Comedian Kim Soo Yong is currently receiving medical treatment after suddenly collapsing while filming.
On November 16, his agency Media Lab Siso shared an update on the situation, revealing that the entertainer had lost consciousness earlier in the week and was immediately taken to the hospital for emergency care.
“Kim Soo Yong lost consciousness on November 13 and was taken to the emergency room, where he underwent examination and treatment,” the agency stated.
The agency also reassured fans that the comedian has since regained consciousness and is now resting while continuing to receive medical attention.
“At present, he has regained consciousness and is currently resting,” they continued. “Our agency will also do our utmost to help our artist make a speedy recovery.”
According to reports, the incident occurred on November 13 during the filming of a YouTube video. Kim Soo Yong reportedly lost consciousness and collapsed on set, prompting those present to seek immediate medical assistance. He was then transported to the emergency room at Hanyang University Medical Center in Guri.
Following his arrival at the hospital, Kim Soo Yong underwent medical examinations and treatment to determine the cause of his sudden collapse. He has since been transferred to the intensive care unit, where doctors are continuing to monitor his condition closely while conducting further tests.
The unexpected incident has raised concern among fans and colleagues, with many hoping for positive updates regarding his health in the coming days. His agency emphasized that it will continue supporting the comedian throughout his recovery and will prioritize his health as he receives treatment.
