NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein have taken a significant step by submitting a petition to the court on May 17th. This move came during the hearing for the injunction request filed by CEO Min Hee-jin, which aims to prohibit the exercise of certain voting rights.

This is the first time the NewJeans members have publicly expressed their stance on the issue. Although the petition’s specific content is undisclosed, it appears the members are supporting CEO Min. The members’ parents also joined in, criticizing HYBE through a letter delivered via ADOR.

They expressed concerns over rookie group ILLIT seemingly imitating NewJeans’ concept and questioned why Chairman Bang Si-hyuk allegedly ignored NewJeans members during company encounters.

HYBE, however, criticized CEO Min’s actions, stating, “We are appalled by CEO Min Hee-jin’s actions of using artists as shields and even involving their parents to pursue personal interests.”
