PLAVE Secures First ‘Show Champion’ Win, Achieving 569,289 Initial Album Sales

Virtual group PLAVE achieved their inaugural music show victory with their latest track. The ‘Champion Song’ nominees on MBC’s ‘Show Champion’ for the week of March 6 included PLAVE’s “WAY 4 LUV,” BIBI’s “Bam Yang Gang,” LE SSERAFIM’s “EASY,” NCT Taeyong’s “TAP,” and CRAVITY’s “Love or Die.”

Ultimately, the virtual boy band secured the top spot. This accomplishment signifies PLAVE’s maiden music show triumph since its debut in March 2023.

Furthermore, as of March 5, PLAVE’s second mini-album, ‘ASTERUM: 134-1’, achieved remarkable initial sales of 569,289 copies according to the Hanteo Chart. The album surpassed 500,000 pre-orders before its official release, surpassing the debut album (27,000 copies) and the first mini-album (203,000 copies), establishing a career-high record.

In addition to this, PLAVE claimed the 17th position in the highest record for initial group sales among male groups according to the Hanteo Chart. They maintained the top spot on the Circle Chart for nine consecutive weeks in weekly album sales and secured the leading position for weekly sales on Ktown4u for two consecutive weeks.

Comprising five virtual members, PLAVE debuted in March of the previous year. Their distinctive approach involves members producing their music, crafting lyrics, choreographing performances, and more.
