TWICE member Dahyun will not participate in the upcoming North American stops of the group’s “THIS IS FOR” world tour due to an ankle injury, JYP Entertainment confirmed on February 11. The affected dates run from February 13 through March 7.
According to the agency, Dahyun began experiencing ankle discomfort during the early stages of the North American tour and received treatment while in the United States. After returning to Korea for further medical evaluation, she was diagnosed with a fracture. Doctors have advised her to undergo continued treatment and take sufficient rest to ensure proper recovery.
Despite the injury, Dahyun remained committed to performing and meeting fans. She continued appearing on stage, at times performing while seated. However, the physically demanding nature of the concerts, which involve extensive choreography, walking, and jumping, posed a risk to her recovery. Medical professionals warned that continuing to perform could worsen the injury or delay healing.
Following discussions between Dahyun, JYP Entertainment, and medical experts, the decision was made to prioritize her health and suspend her participation in the scheduled North American tour dates. The agency emphasized that her well-being remains the top priority.
For now, Dahyun will focus entirely on treatment and rehabilitation. Her return to group activities and future schedules will be determined based on her recovery progress and further medical consultation.
JYP Entertainment apologized to fans for the unexpected news and asked for understanding, assuring supporters that the decision was made with Dahyun’s long-term health in mind. TWICE is currently continuing Part 2 of their ongoing world tour without her during this recovery period.
