Former WINNER member and solo artist Nam Tae Hyun, 31, has found himself in legal trouble again after being booked for driving under the influence (DUI) in a recent accident.

According to media reports on May 8, 2025, Nam Tae Hyun was involved in a car accident on April 27, 2025, on the Gangbyeon Expressway near Dongjak Bridge.

The incident occurred when Nam Tae Hyun attempted to pass another vehicle but lost control, hitting a median strip. Fortunately, no one was injured, including the singer himself.

Nam Tae Hyun’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was found to be above the legal limit of 0.08%, which led to his driver’s license being revoked.

This is not his first DUI-related offense; he had previously been fined for a DUI in March 2023.

Moreover, Nam Tae Hyun is currently on probation for illegal drug use, which dates back to January 2024.

As of now, the Seoul Yongsan Police have confirmed that the case will be sent to prosecution after further investigation.

Nam Tae Hyun was scheduled to perform at a festival in Hongdae on May 6, 2025, but his appearance was canceled just days before, on May 4.

Despite the controversy surrounding his actions, he is still set to release a new album on May 9, 2025.

This recent DUI case marks another setback for Nam Tae Hyun, who has faced numerous personal and legal challenges in the past few years.

Fans and the public are awaiting further developments on both his legal troubles and upcoming career endeavors.
