The TWICE 4th World Tour ‘III’ ENCORE was not just a series of concerts; it was a monumental milestone in the history of K-pop.
Acting as the grand finale to their highly successful fourth world tour, these encore shows served as a celebratory victory lap for the nine-member group and their dedicated fandom, ONCE.
While the tour itself traveled through Seoul, the United States, and Japan, the encore specifically focused on a historic return to Los Angeles, solidifying TWICE’s status as a global musical powerhouse.
Breaking Records at the Banc of California Stadium
The highlight of the encore leg was undoubtedly the group’s performance at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on May 14 and 15, 2022.
This event was historic, as it made TWICE the first-ever K-pop girl group to headline a stadium show in North America.
The demand was so overwhelming that after the initial date sold out instantly, a second night was added to accommodate the massive influx of fans.
This achievement placed them in an elite category of artists. An industry report highlighted the significance of the event, stating:
“The arena North American leg of the tour wrapped up with an attendance of over 100,000, making them the first girl group to achieve this milestone and joining BTS as the only K-pop acts to garner such high ticket sales on their North American tour.”
The stadium shows were a significant upgrade from the arena dates earlier in the tour.
Performing under the open sky, the members- Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu- delivered high-energy performances that leveraged the massive scale of the venue.

The presence of all nine members was particularly meaningful to fans, especially following previous periods where some members had to take breaks for health reasons.
The Setlist and the Magic of the “Encore Wheel”
The structure of the encore shows followed the core “III” setlist but was amplified with stadium-sized production and extended fan interactions.
The concert was divided into three distinct acts, representing the “III” in the tour’s title: I – ONCE, II – TWICE, and III – HEART.
Fans were treated to powerful opening numbers like “The Feels” and “Feel Special,” but the true excitement of the encore leg lay in its unpredictability.
TWICE has become famous for their “Encore Wheel”- a spinning wheel onstage filled with various songs from their extensive discography.
This allowed the group to perform tracks that weren’t part of the main setlist, making every night unique.
During the final moments of the show, Jihyo addressed the crowd, capturing the emotional weight of the tour’s conclusion:
“We were so worried about whether we could fill this big stadium, but seeing you all here makes us so happy. Thank you for making our dreams come true.”
The encore selections included fan favorites such as “TT,” “Rollin’,” and “Cheer Up,” often performed while the members roamed the stadium on carts to get closer to the audience.
The shows also featured the sub-unit tracks “Push & Pull,” “Hello,” and “1, 3, 2,” which allowed different combinations of members to showcase their unique styles.
As the fireworks lit up the Los Angeles sky during the final notes of the last show, it was clear that the “III” ENCORE was more than just a concert- it was a definitive statement of TWICE’s longevity and their unbreakable bond with their global audience.
By the time the tour officially concluded, it had reached a total attendance of approximately 300,000 fans, setting the stage for even larger stadium tours in the years that followed.
