Chou Tzuyu, the youngest member of TWICE, made a deeply emotional and historic return to her hometown after nearly ten years, drawing immense fan attention and setting new milestones for K-pop in Taiwan. From March 20 to 22, TWICE performed three consecutive shows at the Taipei Dome, attracting 120,000 attendees and generating approximately $18.7 million in revenue. Earlier, in November 2025, two shows in Kaohsiung drew 110,000 fans. The five-show THIS IS FOR world tour became the largest concert series ever in Taiwan, breaking records for both attendance and revenue.
Tzuyu’s presence played a major role in the tour’s success. Serving as the emotional link between TWICE and local fans, her return sparked immense excitement, with public spaces decorated in her signature color and airports crowded with supporters. During the final concert on March 22 at Taipei Dome, Tzuyu broke into tears on stage, a moment that quickly went viral, symbolizing the significance of her comeback after years of limited activities due to earlier controversies.

Debuting with TWICE in 2015 through JYP Entertainment’s survival show Sixteen, Tzuyu quickly became a defining figure of third-generation K-pop. Internationally recognized for her beauty, she topped TC Candler’s “100 Most Beautiful Faces in the World” in 2019. In September 2024, she launched her solo debut with the mini-album abouTZU and its title track Run Away, while also completing a master’s in applied psychology, highlighting her commitment to both career and education.
Her recent concerts demonstrated growth as a performer, with improved stage presence, expressive performances, and a strong connection with audiences. After overcoming past challenges, Tzuyu’s return helped TWICE set historic records in Taiwan, cementing her influence and leaving a lasting impact on K-pop history.
