K-pop rock band Xdinary Heroes has officially canceled their scheduled appearance at Japan’s prominent music festival, ‘Summer Sonic 2026.’
The decision comes in the immediate wake of the sudden departure of the band’s leader and drummer, Gunil, marking a turbulent turn of events for the JYP Entertainment group just days before their planned performances.
On August 13, 2026, the official organizers of ‘Summer Sonic 2026’ released a public statement confirming the withdrawal.
According to the festival’s official announcement,
“‘Summer Sonic 2026′ received a request from the band’s agency to withdraw from the performance, resulting in the cancellation of Xdinary Heroes’ appearance.”
