BTS will give fans an inside look at their personal and professional lives in the upcoming Netflix documentary BTS: The Return, which had a special screening on March 20 at Cinecube in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. Director Bao Nguyen, executive producer Jane Cha Cutler, and BigHit Music VP Kim Hyun-jung attended the event.
The film captures BTS in unscripted, everyday moments, including drinking soju, joking around, and playing games, showing a more relaxed and authentic side of the group. Kim explained that including these scenes involved careful discussions within the company and among the members. As BTS begins what she called “Chapter 2.0,” the group aimed to present a mature, honest portrayal that reflects both their growth and their personalities beyond the stage.

Kim also shared that the members found it unusual to see themselves in this light but were pleased with the final product and appreciated director Bao Nguyen’s thoughtful approach.
BTS: The Return follows the band as they reunite after a long hiatus and prepare new music for their comeback, highlighting their journey from global superstardom to the next phase of their careers. The documentary is set to premiere on Netflix on March 27 at 4 PM, giving fans worldwide a deeper understanding of the group’s dynamic and creative process.
