RESCENE member May is celebrating her upcoming birthday in a memorable way, securing a subway advertisement in Seoul after a dedicated fan crowdfunding project far exceeded its initial targets.
The milestone highlights the growing international and domestic fan enthusiasm surrounding the group, driven by strategic digital engagement tools.
Successful Crowdfunding via the Blip Platform
The birthday support initiative was hosted on blip, a dedicated K-pop schedule and fan engagement application operated by entertainment technology firm BIGC.
Running from July 3 to August 1, the campaign allowed supporters to contribute using digital currencies within the application, such as ‘blip Gem’ and ‘Royal Gem’.
Fan participation surpassed early projections. The campaign reached its initial target within eleven days of launching and continued to draw steady contributions throughout the promotional window.
By the time the funding period closed on August 1, the initiative achieved 130.44% of its original goal.
Under the platform’s established guidelines, reaching or surpassing funding thresholds unlocks physical advertisement rewards in high-traffic public areas.
Subway Display and Platform Ecosystem
As a direct outcome of exceeding the funding goal, a dedicated birthday advertisement for May was secured on the Max Vision screen at Konkuk University Station in Seoul.

The advertisement is scheduled to display for seven consecutive days, running from August 19 to August 25, giving supporters and daily commuters an opportunity to view the fan-funded installation in person during her birthday week.
The project underscores the rising popularity of interactive fan platforms like blip, which connect global K-pop communities through features such as schedule tracking, artist photo galleries, and collective support campaigns.
By converting virtual community participation into physical advertising, such initiatives continue to strengthen artist-fandom connections while providing visible recognition for emerging idols.
